MEN'S BASKETBALL

The Beacons (2-2) will open up Cascade Collegiate Conference action in a big way on Tuesday, taking on rival Corban University (2-0).  
 
CORBAN: The Warriors are off to a 2-0 start to the season with a 88-43 win over Willamette University and an 85-80 victory over Westmont College, both at home. Corban has spread out the scoring over their first two games, with Masie Mohammadi leading the way with 12.5 points per game.
 
Corban holds a 48-21 lead in the all-time series, dating back to 1987. They are even at 15-15 in Cascade Collegiate Conference action and the Beacons have won five of the last eight meetings.  
 
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Bushnell (3-2) enters Cascade Collegiate Conference play following a 30-point victory over Lewis & Clark College. The Beacons will host Corban in the opener, who are off to a 2-3 start to the season.
 
CORBAN: The Warriors (2-3) finished non-conference play in Arizona, defeating Embry-Riddle 62-50 before falling to Arizona Christian 54-45. Corban returns First-Team All-CCC forward Holly Golenor, who averaged 15.9 points and 10 rebounds per game last season. Golenor is averaging 12 points per game through five contests.
 
The Beacons are 21-19 in the all-time series with the Warriors. Bushnell has won the last seven meetings, including a 101-55 victory in the Morse Center last year.
