Head Coach
Tom Boldon said, "We are really just starting to round into shape and show the potential we have for the conference meet. We beat Willamette by ten points, the same team that beat us by 52 points last week at their meet, so that goes to show that we have a chance to really race well the rest of the season.
Â
Individually, five different freshman runners hit personal records for the Beacons including
Alec Carne, leading the team in 38th place (26:20). Other PRs went to
Jonathan Rosebrook (27:33),
Will Callahan (29:13),
Ephraim Webber (29:30), and
Seth Handman (31:43).
Â
"Nobody had a bad race on the men's side today," said Boldon. "Alec and Linus were solid again to lead us. It was Alec's first race back coming off of a lot of cross training the past few weeks and it was good to get him back out there and with a 40 second PR."
Â
Senior
Linus Rueegger was close behind Carne, taking 40th (26:25). Johnathan Rosebrook (pictured) was third on the team in 57th while
Noah Mancione (27:52) and
Christopher Rosebrook (28:05) rounded out the scoring.
Â
Other racers for Bushnell included
Sayer Pescosolido, and
Isaac Bodley. Â
Â
The Beacons will be in Rocklin, California in two weeks for the William Jessup University Warrior Invitational which will be the final regular season race for the team before the CCC Championship on November 4.
