COMPLETE RACE RESULTS | SALEM, Ore. – The Bushnell women's cross country team finished second among participating Cascade Collegiate Conference schools on Saturday as they competed in the Charles Bowles Invitational, hosted by Willamette University at Bush Park.
"It was really good to get back to competition after three solid weeks of training," said head coach
Tom Boldon. "We had some very strong performances today and I was very proud of the way we competed. Our plan was to start fast and stick to the pack as long as we could. I think we were successful with that for the most part."
Leading the way was
Rebecca Kuskie, who finished 43
rd overall (19:22.9). The Senior was eleventh among non-NCAA Division I collegiate runners.
Sophomore
Hannah Scott (pictured) ran a huge PR at 20:07.8 while freshman
Harmony Goodman also posted a lifetime best (21:15.7).
Kaitlin Cook and
Isabell Johnston rounded out the Bushnell contingent.
The Beacons will head east next week, participating in the Inland Empire Invitational on Saturday, hosted by Lewis-Clark State College.
