RESULTS | NEWBERG, Ore. - Sophomore
Mayah Pappas climbed nine spots on the CCC performance list on Thursday, leading the Beacons at George Fox University's Frank Haskins Invitational.
Already a conference qualifier, Pappas hit a new career best long jump of 5.27 meters to win the long jump competition. In the process, she moved up from No. 14 to No. 3 on the Cascade Conference performance list with just a week to go before the CCC Championship.Â
Pappas was busy on the track as well, setting new collegiate PR's in the 400m and 200m events. She wasn't alone in hitting season bests. Senior
Jasmine Lay posted her best 400m and best 200m as well. In the 200m, freshman
Adrienne Mai also had a season-low time of 27.44.Â
In the 100m Hurdles, freshman
Sierra Janikowski improved her time to 17.64 while in the Pole Vault,
Skye Urban moved up to 2.69 meters.
The Beacons will officially close out the regular season on Friday night with a handful of competitors taking part in the Oregon Twilight at Hayward Field.Â
