EAGLE POINT, Ore. - The Northwest Christian University men's golf team took third-place over the weekend as they opened up the spring season at the Oregon Tech Invitational. The Beacons were second among CCC teams participating and finished just two shots behind Oregon Tech. 

Leading the Owls through two rounds, the Beacons fired a 313-312-307--932, to finish at +68. OIT came back to overtake NCU with a third-round 302 and finished the event at +66. Corban University ended the event one shot behind the Beacons. 

Individually, the Beacons were led by Seth King and Andrew Webb, tying for tenth place at 231. Jon Holzgang was close behind in 18th (234) while Garison Lyman took 19th (235). Andrew Schwarz followed with a 238. 

The Beacons also fielded a "B" team for the event which took eighth place. 

The Beacons will return to action next weekend at the Willamette Valley Cup, taking place at Creekside Golf Course in Salem, site of the upcoming CCC Championships.
