EUGENE, Ore. – The Bushnell Overwatch and Rocket League teams closed out their seasons last week while the Valorant team qualified for the NACE Playoffs.

The Beacons split a pair of contests during the week, opening up with a dominant 3-0 win over North Dakota State College of Science. Bushnell swept the Wildcats, 13-0, 11-2, 5-1.

Cole "Crow" Vamos (pictured) had an incredible series, scoring 15 goals in 15 minutes of action, adding four assists and three saves. Preston "PrestoMagic" Clark and Dakota "DakKura" Kurahara added seven goals apiece. Clark led all players with nine assists.

The post-season slipped out of the Beacons grasp with a strong final match, falling to the University of Montana Maroon team, 3-1 (1-3, 4-2, 2-4, 3-0). Forced to play a very defensive series, the Beacons manages to only win one game in the series. It was a tough series with half of the games ending in overtime, including over six minutes of extra time in the first.

OVERWATCH

Overwatch also closed out their season this week with a split. On Thursday, the Beacons were felled by The University of Jamestown varsity team, 3-0 and rebounded to close the season with a win as they defeated the University of Montana on Friday, 3-0.

VALORANT
Â
Bushnell lost their only encounter of the week, falling in the de facto Group F championship to Boise State, 2-0. The Broncos remained undefeated while handing the Beacons their first loss of the season.

Despite the loss, the first-year program finished in second-place and qualified for the first NACE Valorant Collegiate Championship series, beginning this week.Â

The Beacons open up the post-season on Wednesday at 5:00 pm when they take on the No. 1 ranked team out of Group E, University of Montana. The Grizzlies finished the season in a three-way tie for the group championship, finishing 4-1 alongside NAIA schools Midland University and Baker University.

Should Bushnell come out victorious on Wednesday, they will live to fight in the second round against the winner of Purdue Fort Wayne and Mayville State. The Comets finished third behind the Beacons in Group F while the Mastadons were the Group G champion.
