Fall Rocket League Season Comes to Close

EUGENE, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University Rocket League fall season ended in the first round of the 2019 NAC Esports Rocket League Tournament Monday as the #12 seeded Beacons fell to #5 seed University of South Carolina – Sumter in three games, 2-6, 0-8, 1-4.

Head Coach Miles Adkisson said, "Obviously, this was a tough loss for us but I am incredibly proud of the individuals on this team. We wanted to leave everything in the arena tonight and give it everything we had, win or lose. We can hold our heads up high because we did that."

The Fire Ants (7-4) finished the match with 41 shots on goal compared to just 8 by the Beacons. NCU was led once again by Preston Clark (PrestoMagic) who had 2 goals and 11 saves. USC-Sumter was lead by Currlee who recorded 10 goals off 19 shots.

The Beacons (4-7) complete their inaugural fall Rocket League season which was nothing short of success. With a young, talented roster the team will get back to work in preparation for Spring play.
