CALDWELL, Idaho – NCU closed out play in the College of Idaho Invitational on Tuesday, finishing the tournament in fourth place. Michael Carrillo (pictured) led NCU with a ninth-place finish.

The Beacons carded a three-round score of 887, down dramatically from the 915 they achieved in their own tournament a week ago. After defeating Corban University by seven shots last week for third place, the Warriors took the advantage back with a six-shot advantage of their own.

The University of British Columbia won their second straight tournament, carding an impressive team score of 850, landing 14-strokes under par. The Oregon Tech Owls were in second, 11 shots back at -3.

Andrew Harrison from UBC won the event with an eight-under par 208. Carrillo was ten shots back as he finished two-over par in the three-round event (72-74-72—218). Josh Goins took 13th place (75-71-76—222) while Jon Holzgang took 20th (75-72-78—225) and Andrew Webb finished 23rd (81-69-77—227).  Rounding out the NCU "A" team was Drew Schwarz in 38th place.

The Beacon "B" team also competed with Keegan Spengler leading the charge at 230 to finish 28th with Nathan Mallory nipping at his heels (30th, 231). Levi Dean scored a 233 to take 32nd and Connor Maloney was 33rd with a three-round score of 235.

Cascade Conference counting action may be over until March but the Beacons fall season rolls on, next heading to Klamath Falls on October 8 for the Oregon Tech Invitational.
