McMINNVILLE, Ore. – The NCU women's track & field team kicked off their outdoor track & field season on Saturday at the Linfield Erik Anderson Memorial Icebreaker.
Â
Competing one week prior to the official NAIA start date for the outdoor season, no conference or national standards could be attained, but the team got their feet wet for the upcoming season nonetheless.
Â
Leading the way was sophomore
Christy Seaton (pictured), earning the ladies only win as she claimed the 100m Hurdle title with a time of 15.82 seconds.
Â
Three others hit "would-be" conference qualifying times.
Melissa Rios ran 40:20.98 in the 10k,
Megan Van Marter hit 1.42m across the high jump bar, and
Abigail Spencer landed a long jump at 4.99m.
