FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Nine women's track & field athletes hit Cascade Collegiate Conference qualifying standards on Saturday at the Pacific Preview. In addition, two athletes earned NAIA qualifying marks and three school records fell.
 
Setting the tone for what is expected to be a strong final season, senior Bailey Dell secured an "A" qualification standard in the javelin, winning the event with a toss of 42.80m. Sophomore Anika Rasubala , meanwhile, won the 3000m Steeplechase and hit the NAIA's "B" standard, running an 11:27.93 for a 25-second victory. Cass Brownell also qualified for conference in the steeple, taking third place (12:09.15).
 
Three school-records were hit by another trio of conference qualifiers. Myah Harter (pictured) broke her own record in the discus by nearly five and a half feet. The sophomore took second place, throwing a distance of 37.77m.
 
Two newcomers also tied existing school records. Junior Megan Van Marter owned a high jump leap of 1.47m while freshman Rachel Rhoads cleared 2.60m on the pole vault.
 
Also qualifying for the CCC championships were Christy Seaton in the 100m hurdles and the long jump, Brianna Jury in the 400m hurdles, and Abigail Spencer in the long jump.
