SEATTLE, Wash. – The NCU women's track & field team closed out the indoor season on Sunday at the University of Washington Open at Demspey Indoor Stadium. The meet was highlighted by three heat wins and another school-record for sophomore
Halona Jackson.

Jackson became the first NCU woman to break eight seconds in the 60m dash, coming in at 7.99 as she won her heat. Jackson took 17th place overall out of 73 competitors.

Freshman
Jasmine Lay (pictured) also won her heat of the 400m dash, taking 41st place overall (1:03.86).
Tea Chatelain was NCU's event leader in the 400m with a 37th-place time of 1:02.73.

Sophomore
Christy Seaton also won her heat of the 60m Hurdles, running a 9.58 which was good for 24th-place overall.

The Beacons will return to action on March 2 when the outdoor schedule kicks off at the Linfield Icebreaker.
