Box Score EUGENE, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University volleyball team took a break from conference play on Tuesday night, traveling across Eugene to knock off New Hope Christian College in three sets, 25-14, 25-18, 25-18.
NCU (6-2) took control early and held strong throughout the match, leading the Deacons in virtually all aspects of play. The Beacons out-hit NHCC .248 to -.010, while compiling 44 kills to the home teams' 16.

Haley Damian collected 19 digs on the night, becoming just the third player in NCU's history to eclipse 1,000 in a career. Damian, coming off CCC weekly honors with teammate
Maci Beierle, surpassed the mark late in the first set.
The Beacons had a balanced attack offensively, with
Keri Schwarz posting a match-high seven kills as she hit .467. Beierle set the table with 28 assists, following up her Setter of the Week honor with another strong performance with the addition of six digs and a pair of blocks.
Offensively, it was also a good night for Elle Vershingel, hitting .385 with six kills.
Natalie Downes added five kills with a match-high .625 attack percentage.
New Hope (0-4) was led by Chandler Heinrick who posted a third of her teams kills, the remainder of which were distributed amongst five players. Breezy Husband and Sky Moskowitz each contributed double-digit digs in the loss.
The Beacons head north to Salem on Wednesday for a scrimmage against Chemeketa before returning to their home-court for a CCC contest on Friday, when they take on No. 15 Corban at 7:00 pm.
