CORVALLIS, Ore. – For those who qualified for entry, the "High Performance" meet at Oregon State lived up to it's name this past weekend at the Whyte Track & Field Center.
Â
Among the highlights from the race was freshman
Anika Rasubala (pictured) who inched closer to becoming the Beacons third 3000m Steeplechase national qualifier this season. Rasubala missed an NAIA "B" standard by just 2.64 seconds, coming in at 11:29.64.
Â
Karrin Shriner had another strong performance in the 200m, breaking her own school record and taking ninth place with a time of 25.77.
Â
The Beacons will have select individuals competing in two more meets next weekend in the final round of competition before the CCC Championships begin on May 12. On Friday, those who qualify will compete at Hayward Field in the Oregon Twilight and then on Saturday, those still looking to grab conference qualifications will have their last chance at the Linfield Open in McMinnville.
