McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Freshman Kelly Willyard broke NCU's 100m record on Saturday, qualifying for the CCC Championships in the process as the Beacons competed in the Linfield Open to close out the regular season.
 
Willyard ran a 13.11 in the event and was followed by former record-holder Myranda Johnson, who finished at 13.31.
 
Sophomore Bailey Dell provided another highlight for the weekend as she won the Javelin event, throwing a 44.65m to win the event by over two meters.

With the regular season finished, the Beacons set their sights on the CCC Championships, taking place on May 13-14 in Hermispton, Ore. A total of 16 competitors are scheduled to compete for the NCU women's team.
