GULF SHORES, Ala. – Passing three runners over the final 200 meters, sophomore
TJ Wright did the improbable on Saturday, claiming third-place in school-record time to close out an historic weekend for the NCU men's track & Field team as they competed in the NAIA National Championships.

Wright made up plenty of ground to score six points for the team. The team point total for the weekend was nine, with three from
Christian Hackney in the Javelin on Thursday. NCU scored points for the first time in school history and claim 32
nd place. They were fourth among Cascade Collegiate Conference schools and just one point behind Evergreen State.

Already the school-record holder in the event multiple times over, Wright saved his best run of the season for last, cranking out a time of 9:18.54. He was one of three All-American finishers in the event from the CCC.
