EUGENE, Ore. – For the first time in NCU Track & Field history an athlete has competed at the CCC Multi-Event Championships as freshman
Myranda Johnson took part in the Heptathlon, taking 12th place.

Johnson scored 3038 points in the event, her largest point grab coming from the 631 she took in the 200m.

By virtue of competing in the heptathlon, Johnson also became NCU's first ever female shot-putter, landing a throw at 6.49m.

Johnson opened up with an 11th-place finish in the 100m Hurdles, followed by 10th in the high jump and 14th in the Shot Put. She closed out day one on Thursday with a 28.00 flat in the 200m, taking 9th.

Friday opened with her best event placement, taking 8th in the Long Jump (4.58m). She then took 12th in the Javelin and closed with a 14th-place finish in the 800m.Â
