EUGENE, Ore. – A select few women's track & field athletes qualified for and competed in the Oregon Relays this weekend at Hayward Field.

Cassandra Brownell ran the 400m, taking 13th place as she hit 1:03.17.

Shaneesa Applegate matched her season-best in the long jump, leaping 5.20m to take 11th place.

Bailey Dell (pictured) and
Madeleine Nelson competed in the javelin with Dell posting a 43.69 to claim sixth place. Dell was fourth among collegiate runners behind just NCAA Division I and Division II athletes, hitting the NAIA "A" standard for the fourth time this season. Nelson took 12th place with a heave of 38.57m.

The full NCU track & field team will be in action next weekend, traveling to compete in the Southern Oregon University Invitational on April 22 and 23.Â
