Applegate Leads in Indoor Debut

PORTLAND, Ore.  – The Northwest Christian University women's track & field team embarked on their first ever Indoor track season on Friday night, competing in the third High Performance meet hosted at the House of Track in Portland. Senior Shaneesa Applegate picked up right where she left off in 2015 with a pair of strong performances.

Applegate made her 60m Hurdle debut in impressive fashion, winning her heat and taking second-place overall with a time of 9.48. She followed that up with a fourth-place finish in the long jump, landing at 5.25m. Her mark tops all previous outdoor efforts for the senior and represents the third-longest leap in school history, indoor or outdoor.

60m: Madeleine Nelson (8.59), Haley Damian (8.76)

200m: Kelly Willyard (35.36)
