The 'Cats would climb back to within eight points on a few occasions and they held the Beacon offense to just nine field goals in the second half, but it wouldn't matter as Northwest Christian completed a solid all around effort.
Since a 103-102 loss to Walla Walla on November 5, the Beacons have won six in a row and have held their opponents to just 58.7 points per game and 38% shooting. Associate Head Coach Mark Holmes said, “We continue to grow as a team and tonight guys were making really good team decisions instead of 'me' decisions and I think that was our key. Since the Walla Walla loss we have really focused and honed in on our defense and it is really paying off.
