PORTLAND, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University women's soccer team played their final game of the season on Tuesday night, falling to Cascade Collegiate Conference champion Concordia, 8-0. The Cavaliers, ranked #5 in the NAIA national coaches poll, outshot the Beacons 33-1.

Concordia got the scoring rolling early, getting three goals in a three minute window. In the 17th minute Jessica Ramback hit a close-range shot from right to left off a pass from Caitlin Verhofstadt. In the 19th minute Justine Pronovost hit a schot from ten-yards out off a pass from Shea Miller. Then in the 20th minute Miller got on the board herself scoring off a keeper miscue for the early 3-0 lead.

The Cavs held their 3-0 lead into the intermission but quickly added on in the second half. Miller scored her second and third goals just a minute and nine second apart early on and in the 69th minute Pronovost added her second of the evening off a cross from Kelton McFadden. Ramback then scored her team-leading 17th goal of the season in the 80th minute off another assist by Miller on a give-and-go play.

Not to be outdone, Miller scored her fourth of the night and 16th of the season with just three minutes to play, punching in a header off a corner kick from Sami Andrews. Miller finished her night with an impressive 10 points.

For the Beacons, the lone scoring attempt came mid-way through the second half as Desiree Berry (pictured) took the teams lone shot-on-goal. Adrienne Hagen, the third CU goalkeeper to see time in the net on Tuesday night, made the only save for the Cavaliers.

Katelyn Nistler closed out her season in goal for the Beacons with a nine-save effort.

Northwest Christian (5-13, 2-8 CCC) closes out the season on a five-game losing streak. Concordia (17-0-1, 10-0) completed their first undefeated season in school history, won the Cascade Conference regular-season title, and has earned a first-round bye for the conference post-season tournament which begins this Saturday for the top-six finishers in the CCC.
