TOURNAMENT LEADERBOARD
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Bushnell women's golf team sits in fifth-place at the halfway point of the Oregon Tech Fall Invitational, the first Cascade Collegiate Conference regular season tournament being played at Running Y golf course.
The Beacons broke 330 once again, shooting a 329 as they sit just four shots behind College of Idaho in fourth place and one stroke ahead of Walla Walla University in sixth.
"It was an all-around team effort today one day one," said Women's Golf Head Coach
Shawn Brandt. "We are eyeing a strong finish tomorrow."
Leading the way for the Beacons is
Jaylee Hix, tied for 14th-place after shooting a six-over 78 during the opening 18 holes. Playing as an individual,
Jordyn Lorence followed with an 81 to claim 23rd place as the teams headed to the clubhouse. Coach Brandt said, "Jaylee finished her round with great putting and Jordan had a breakout day with three birdies and a near hole-in-one on 15."
Kylee Smith follows in 26th place after shooting an 82 with
Jada Richwine following closely in 27th with an 83.
Hailey Smith carded an 86 to hold 32nd while
Morgan Schlesinger shot an 88 to sit in 37th-place.
The tournament will conclude with the second round on Tuesday.
