NAIA Beach Volleyball National Postseason Rating (April 29, 2026)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Bushnell Beach Volleyball team closes the season with their highest ranking in school history, coming in at No. 9 in the NAIA Top-Ten Post season Coaches Poll.
The Beacons, who had made their way to the "Receiving Votes" category on nine separate occasions over the past five season, and ended the regular season at No. 10, moved up without benefit of another game, perhaps a strength-of-schedule bump as the NAIA National Invitational took place.Â
Cascade Conference foe Southern Oregon University, won the national championship last week, while Corban University finished in the semifinals. SOU closed the year at No.1 while Corban came in at No. 3. Bushnell was No. 9 and The College of Idaho continued to receive votes.Â
Bushnell ended their season with a 9-14 overall record. Playing in the toughest conference in the nation, the Beacons were 9-4, excluding teams that qualified for the NAIA Invitational Tournament. Two of their four other losses came against Division I University of Portland and NCAA Division II Vanguard University.
Head Coach
Kim Elgarico, who was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year, said, "I am incredibly proud of this team and what they've accomplished—finishing ninth in the nation is a reflection of far more than talent. It is the result of relentless hard work, honest communication, and the deep relationships they built with one another along the way. They committed to holding each other to a higher standard every single day, and that commitment showed up when it mattered most. More than anything, we feel truly blessed to share this journey together—this group, this season, and the opportunity to compete, grow, and represent something bigger than ourselves."
The Beacons ended their season with a third-place finish in the Cascade Conference and a third-place result at the CCC tournament.Â
