ASHLAND, Ore. – An upset against the No. 3 ranked team in the NAIA was not in the cards for the Beacons on Friday morning as they fell to Corban University, 3-0 in the semifinals of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament Presented by US Bank, 3-2.

After winning the opening set at both the No. 2 and No. 4 pairs, the Warriors quickly established their dominance, clinching the win as they were victorious in both, followed by a win at the No. 5 pair.

The Beacons close out the season with a 9-14 record, a new season-best for victories, topping the seven wins earned during the 2022 campaign. The Beacons also tied for third-place in the Cascade Conference regular season with The College of Idaho, who the defeated in their first elimination game of the tournament on Thursday afternoon.

Also posting an impressive school record was Bushnell's No. 4 pair of seniors
Laci Jespersen and
Sydney Myhre (pictured), who end their final campaign with a 14-9 record. Not only did they earn the most wins in a season in program history, but their winning percentage of .609 was also an all-time best. Jespersen finishes her career as Bushnell's all-time leader for wins with 43, Myhre is close behind in second place with 34. The duo has been paired together for the past three seasons.
