COMPLETE RESULTS
SALEM, Ore. – An impromptu addition to the schedule yielded one more Cascade Collegiate Conference qualifying mark on Saturday as the Beacons competed at the Berney Classic, hosted by Corban University.

Freshman
Trenton Battle (pictured) added his second CCC standard in as many weeks as he took second place in the High Jump, clearing the bar at 1.91m (6-02.75). He finished behind teammate
Taylor Jackson, who won the event at 1.95m (6-04.75).

The women also had an event winner as
Ellie Ekwere claimed the title in the Triple Jump with a leap of 10.79m (35-04.75).

The ladies also a personal best and near-CCC mark from
Audrey Sommerville, who crossed the 400m finish line in 1 minute, 1.51 seconds, less than a second away from the conference mark.

Multiple personal bests were hit in the men's 200m, although none were able to claim conference marks.
Kainoa Harwood ran a 22.72,
Malachi Larson followed in 22.81, and John Favier-Gonzales finished in 23.17. The latter also hit a new PR in the 400m (51.03).

Up Next: The Beacons will return to action on May 1 and 2 as they will once again split between two meets, competing at the Oregon State High Performance meet and the Linfield Open as they close out the regular season.
