Beacons Split in Idaho, Stay in Third

CALDWELL, Idaho – The Bushnell beach volleyball team split a pair of matches on Saturday to keep hold of a share of third-place in the CCC.

Bushnell fell to No. 10 College of Idaho in their first session, 3-2, before rebounding for a 4-1 victory over Northwest in the afternoon. The Beacons move to 6-10 on the season and 5-6 in the CCC. They are tied with C of I (5-6, 5-6) for third-place.

Leading the way for the Beacons on Saturday was the No. 4 pair of seniors Laci Jespersen and Sydney Myhre (pictured) who ran their winning streak to a Bushnell-record nine consecutive matches.

"I am so proud of us and the team," said Myhre. "We played clean and simple and I couldn't be happier.

Jespersen added, "It was a great weekend in the sun to take wins and have fun while playing with high intensity. I am so proud of this team."
