EUGENE, Ore. – The Beacons took on a former NAIA Powerhouse on Friday morning, falling 5-0 to Vanguard University at the Sandy Sweetheart Invitational.

The Lions, now an NCAA Division II school, flexed their muscle as just one of Bushnell's pairs was able to force a third set.

That pair was the No. 1 duo of

Hailey Heider, who fell 21-18, 18-21, 15-11, picking up their first set win of the young season.
