Beacons Open Conference Play at Walla Walla Invite

RESULTS

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference season commenced on Monday with the first two rounds of the Walla Walla University Invitational at Wine Vallery Golf Club.
 
The Beacons opened up the event in ninth place, with a third and final round set for Tuesday morning.
 
Leading the way for the Beacons is Matt Forsyth, one of 16 golfers who finished the day at even-par or better. The Junior shot a 73-71-144 to begin the tournament and hold part of a three-way tie for 14th-place.
 
Isaac Wells (pictured) sits in 23rd place (73-74—147), Jacob Holmes is 35th (74-77—151) and Peyton Weidenmann holds 40th (79-74—153). Trison Hedges is also competing for the Beacons and is in 50th (80-84—164).
 
The Beacons fired a two-round team score of 299-296—595 and sit three shots behind Corban University in eighth. Oregon Tech leads the tournament at 14-under par (562).
