LEWISTON, Idaho. – The Bushnell men's golf team fired a three-over 391 in the second round on Tuesday and
Matt Forsyth surged into a tie for first-place at the Cascade Collegiate Conference championships, taking place at Lewiston Country Club.

The Beacons (301-291—592) moved up two spots after their second-lowest score ever at a CCC tournament, climbing ahead of Oregon Tech into third-place. For the final round on Wednesday, Bushnell's golfers will be grouped with those from tourney leader Lewis-Clark State (288-284—572) and British Columbia (293-285—578).

Leading the charge for the Beacons is junior
Matt Forsyth who went three-under par and had a five-birdie round, climbing into a tie for first-place (72-69—141).

Isaac Wells (74-76—150) follows in 21st place while
Peyton Wiedenmann (pictured) (79-72—151) is close behind in 22nd.
Trison Hedges (76-78—154) follows in 30th while
Shawn Petty subbed in for the second round and scored a 74.

With 18 holes to play, Bushnell holds a slim one-stroke lead over Oregon Tech (297-296—593) with College of Idaho (303-298—601) and Corban (300-304—604) lingering in fifth and sixth place.

The tournament continues with round two on Tuesday, followed by the final round on Wednesday.
