The Mounties (6-2-1, 3-0 CCC) outshot the Beacons 20-6 in the contest and put 11 shots on goal, giving reigning CCC Defensive Player of the Week
Ana Augusto eight saves in the loss.
Â
After a scoreless first half, the Mounties broke through with the game-winner in the 52nd minute and added an insurance strike just two minutes later. They would tack on a third netter in the 82nd minute.

Head Coach
Halle Meadows said, "We held EOU well in the first half with a lot of defense and then changed tactics the second half to go at them a bit more. That left us open for breakdowns on defense and we weren't able to regain momentum and we couldn't answer for the goals that were scored. Now we learn and move on to our next focus tomorrow at The College of Idaho.
Â
UP NEXT: The Beacons (2-2-2 ,1-1) head to Caldwell, Idaho on Saturday for a 4:00 pm (MT) clash with the No. 5 ranked team in the country. The formidable Yotes (6-1, 3-0) defeated Corban University on Friday, 10-0.
