EUGENE, Ore.  –  Freshman Zack Claunch was named the Teamfight Tactics Rookie of the Season, announced by ECAC Esports in their Spring Seasonal Awards.
 
The TFT spring season consisted of 129 players divided into four divisions. Claunch was placed in Division A, the highest level of competition, made up of 33 competitors.
 
Claunch had 12 top four placements during the seven-week regular season (14 games) and spent three consecutive weeks in second place on the Division A leaderboard. He won his group in the playoff round with second, second and third place finishes and went on to place sixth in the finals. He was also an honor roll student both semesters.
