SALEM, Ore. – The Bushnell beach volleyball team finally found the win column, and fought through adversity to do it on Saturday as they claimed a pair of wins against Simpson University in Cascade Collegiate action, hosted by Corban University.
Â
Dealing with an injury-related substitution changed the Beacon lineup for the first time, and yielded some positive results as the Beacons improved to 2-4 on the season (and 2-4 in Cascade Conference action). With the losses, Simpson University moved to 0-4, 0-4.
Â
Head Coach
Kim Elgarico said, "We had to change things around a little today, but everyone stepped up and stepped into some new roles. They handled the job and were able to grab those important first wins of the season which will hopefully give us a little momentum going forward."
