SALEM, Ore. – The Bushnell beach volleyball team took an early 2-0 lead with wins from the No. 2 and No. 4 pairs, but Southern Oregon came back to win the other three in Cascade Collegiate Conference action to earn the 3-2 victory in Salem in the opening match of the CCC weekend series, hosted by Corban University.
At the No. 4 pair,
Sydney Myhre and
Laci Jespersen (pictured) improved to 3-1 on the season as they swept their opponents, 21-16, 21-19.
Olivia Kelzenberg and
Jazmyn Wilcox soon followed at No. 2 with their second straight win, earning a nail-biting sweep at 24-22, 21-19. Kelzenberg and Wilcox now have two win on the season against NAIA Top-ten opponents.
