EUGENE, Ore. – The No. 2-ranked Corban University beach volleyball team flexed their muscle on Tuesday at the Bushnell/Grace Beach Courts, taking a pair of matches from Bushnell University, 5-0 and 5-0.
The Beacons fall to 2-6 on the season and 2-6 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference while the Warriors improve to 9-1, 7-0.
At the No. 4 pair, sophomore
Sydney Myhre and
Laci Jespersen provided a little bit of their usual magic, taking a set off their Warrior foes in the first match while falling by a tough 21-19, 24-22 score in the second.
Head Coach
Kim Elgarico said, "The best part about today was how much better we got by playing the second ranked team in the country two times in a row. It allowed us to get a taste and then adapt and come back stronger. If wasn't the outcome we hoped for, of course, but we can't wait for our next opportunity to play again."
