EUGENE, Ore. – Facing a team on the verge of moving into the NAIA top-25 rankings, the Beacons put up a defensive fight on Saturday before falling to Oregon Tech, 2-0.
The Owls (7-1-1, 3-0 CCC) out-shot the Beacons 28-1, but the home team was able to take a scoreless tie into the second half as starting keeper
Lexi Bates collected 11 saves on the night.

Oregon Tech scored their first goal in the 50th minute as Kayla Ness scored off a pass from Brianna Lewis. The second goal come on a set piece when Shalynai Naputi's corner kicked bounced straight into the goal untouched.
The Beacons (2-7, 0-3) hit the road for their next six games, beginning with their Montana trip next weekend. They will face off against the University of Providence (5-2-1, 2-1) on Friday at 1:00 pm Mountain time.
