McMINNVILLE, Ore. – The full Bushnell track & field team was on display for the final time on Saturday, competing at the Linfield Invitational.
The highlight of the day for the Beacons was freshman
Audri Ward (pictured, right), who earned her first ever qualification for the Cascade Collegiate Conference championship in the 400m Hurdles. Ward came in at 1:11.25 for a PR, making her the third Beacon to qualify in the event.
The ladies also had an event victory, courtesy of
Mayah Pappas in the Long Jump. The senior leapt 5.59m (18'4.25") to win the event by just one centimeter.
On the men's side, freshman
Isaac Bodley (pictured, left) closed his year on a high, hitting personal records in both the 800m and 1500m events.
Freshman
Brodie Riscili also set a PR, posting a new lifetime best in the Discus for the second day in row, clearing a heave of 37.83m (124'1").
Ten women and nine men have combined to earn 27 total qualifications for the CCC Championships, which take place on May 10-11 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. They will be joined by a handful of "wild card" selections, which will be decided this week.
