RESULTS | MARION, Ind. – Freshman
Jermaine Schexnayder put a little icing on the cake of his incredible debut campaign on Friday, taking tenth-place in the Triple Jump at the NAIA National Championships, taking place at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Â
Schexnayder's first jump was the best of his young career, hitting 14.98 meters (49'2") to add three-and-a-half inches to his own school record set at the conference championships two weeks ago.
Â
His tenth-place finish improves two spots on his indoor national championship finish.
Â
Also competing at the NAIA championships for the Beacons was
Kaleo Wellman in the long jump. Unfortunately, the freshman was unable to land a successful attempt.
