CHULA VISTA, Calif. – The Bushnell beach volleyball team closed out the 2024 season on Friday with their final game of the NAIA West Regional qualifying tournament, falling to Park-Gilbert University, 3-2.

Bushnell (6-20) tournament ended with an 0-3 record in pool play while the Buccaneers (6-12) also end their season as they went 1-2 in Pool B and did not qualify to move on to the semifinals.

The Beacons got one final win for the season from the First-Team All-CCC pair of
Sydney Myhre and
Laci Jespersen (pictured), who claimed a 21-14, 21-9 win in the No. 4 pair. The duo completed a strong season in which the led the Beacons with ten wins.

Bushnell also got one final win at the No. 1 pairing with senior
Halle Neumann officially ending her collegiate career with a 21-23, 21-13, 15-11 victory alongside her partner
Kate Palelek.

The match nearly flipped as the No. 2 pair of
Brooke Silvernail and
Anessa Stotts fought tooth and nail before succumbing in a 21-13, 21-23, 15-13 defeat.

Bushnell ends the season with a record of 6-20, falling just one win shy of matching their record-setting win total from the 2023 season.
