BOX SCORE
PORTLAND, Ore. – The Bushnell Beach Volleyball team played in their eighth 3-2 match of the season on Sunday afternoon as they fell to the University of Portland for the third time this season by the same score.

The Beacons (4-12) went ahead 2-1 in the match as both the No. 1 pair of
Halle Neumann and
Kate Palelek as well as the No. 2 pair of
Brooke Silvernail and
Anessa Stotts picked up victories.

After getting swept by the same pair last week, Neumann and Palelek (pictured) did the sweeping on Sunday, winning 21-18, 21-19. Silvernail and Stotts needed three sets to repeat their win from last week, 16-21, 22-20, 15-12.

The Pilots (6-4), however, were able to put the match away, claiming wins at No. 3 and No. 5 to close it out.

"This was definitely a long weekend of play for us," said Head Coach
Kim Elgarico. We loved the sun but the courts up north were very hard on our bodies. The girls played hart through it all and each team came home with some wins. We continue to find ways to hold our standards and we have high expectations for our next matches at The College of Idaho."

Bushnell will have twelve days to rest up, returning to CCC action on March 29 in Caldwell, Idaho for another series of matches. They will open up against Northwest at 2:00 pm Mountain Time.
