PORTLAND, Ore. – The Bushnell men's track & field team found their way to four more Cascade Conference qualifications on Saturday, all from the jumps, as they competed at the Lewis & Clark College Electric Forest Collegiate Open.

Brett Olmstead (pictured) kicked things off with a third-place finish in the pole vault, clearing a new personal record at 4.03m/13'2.5" to earn his first ever Cascade Conference qualification.

The other vertical jump qualification came from
Jermaine Schexnayder as the freshman broke Bushnell's school record in the high jump with a 1.95m/6'4.75" clearance. His record broke Randy Salcedo's mark of 1.90m, set back in 2013.

Bushnell's other qualifications both came in the long jump as
Ty Kishen (6.45m/21'2") and
David Johnson (6.39m/20'11.5") became the third and fourth Beacons to punch their CCC tickets in the event.

Once again, a host of personal records were also broken on Saturday. Both Kishen and Jah'lin Green hit PRs in the 200m while
Wyatt Pepiot,
Logan Gant, and
Sayer Pescosolido all hit new personal standards in the 800m

A huge PR was also set in the discus where
Brodie Riscili bested his old distance by over nine feet with a mark of 36.10m/118'5".

The outdoor season continues next Friday as a select number of Beacons will compete at historic Hayward Field in Eugene for the University of Oregon Preview. Â
