EUGENE, Ore. – The Bushnell men's basketball team hit 15 three-pointers on Saturday night, cruising to a 115-76 victory over Walla Walla University in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.

The win, coupled with a Corban loss to LC State, moved the Beacons back into a three-way tie for fourth-place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with the Warriors and Southern Oregon University.

The Beacons (15-9, 12-6 CCC) win their six straight game after shooting 57% from the field including a strong 15-for-29 point performance from three-point range.

"It was a great team win tonight," said Head Coach
Eddie Alexander. "Walla Walla started off hot and we stayed the course and trusted the game plan. It was a great all-around game played by our rotation."

Bushnell fell behind by 11 points in the first five minutes as Walla Walla was shooting 90% from the floor. The Beacons, however, withstood the barrage and went on a 14-0 run and never looked back.

The Beacons led in every facet of the game a 44-25 rebounding margin, including 15 offensive rebounds, led to a 19-4 margin in second-chance scoring. Bushnell forced 16 turnovers while committing just nine, and out-scored the Wolves 24-8 off the miscues. Bushnell was able to go deep into the bench on Saturday and the reserves outscored the WWU bench, 44-20, including 15 from
Cory Johnson.

Senior
Kaden Sand (pictured, right) made history with three first-half blocks, giving him 91 blocks in his career to set a new Bushnell career record which had stood for 14 years. He finished with a game-high 20 points, shooting 9-for-11 from the field.

Stevie Schlabach added 19 points on 7-for-11 shooting and
Spencer Hoffman (pictured, left) created another double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds.
Alexis Angeles added a game-high five assists.

The Wolves (5-18, 4-13) were led by Andrew Vaughan, scoring 17 points. Steele Twiford added 14 points and eight rebounds while Caleb Golden posted ten.

Bushnell stays home next weekend and will be in action at 7:30 pm on Friday night when they play host to Southern Oregon (14-10, 12-6).
