Beacons Fall to Carroll in CCC Action

GREAT FALLS, Mont.  – Carroll College remained undefeated in conference play on Saturday, knocking off the Beacons, 2-0.

Head Coach Halle Meadows said, "Girls fought hard for 90 minutes. We had most of possession for a lot of the game but a couple of mistakes by us that Carroll capitalized on won them the game. We had a big performance tonight from the three freshmen on the field in Kenedi McDonald, Indiana Chambers, and Kara Becraft and I am so proud of that, but it was another game where simple mistakes were punished and we look forward to putting in some work this week get improve our results in Washington."

Becraft added, "I think we competed for 90 minutes but we need to clean up the details in order to get results. We are excited to get back to work next week."

Senior Goalkeeper Lexi Bates (pictured) had a great night for the Beacons (3-8, 1-4 CCC), tying a career-high with 11 saves and successfully battling off countless attacks including seven corner kicks, but a goal in each half proved enough for Carroll (7-1-3, 4-0-1) to come out on top.

The Saints held a 23-4 lead in shots, with Ashley Flores coming up with the only shot-on-goal for the visitors.

The Beacons continue their current six-game road trip next weekend in Washington, taking on Northwest (2-1-3, 1-1-3) on Friday and Evergreen (0-6-2, 0-4-1) on Saturday.
