OLYMPIA, Wash.  – Offense couldn't match defense on Saturday afternoon as the Bushnell women's soccer team fell to The Evergreen State College in a hard-luck 1-0 loss in Cascade Conference action.  
 
The Geoducks (1-6-3, 1-4-2 CCC) picked up their first win of the season on the backs of an early goal, scoring in the 14th minute on their only Shot on Goal attempted in the contest. The Bushnell defense held steady throughout, allowing just four total shot attempts.
 
The Beacons (3-10, 1-6) managed 12 shot attempts and took four shots on goal, but couldn't find the back of the net with an equalizer.
 
The Beacons will look to get back on track next weekend when they head to Portland for a Friday match against Warner Pacific (4-6-2, 2-4-1) and Saturday meeting with Multnomah (5-5-3, 3-3-1).
