EUGENE, Ore. – After falling to No. 8-ranked Corban University on Wednesday night, the Beacons returned home on Friday and got back to their winning ways with a dominant 25-20, 25-15, 25-11 victory over Warner Pacific University.

The Beacons (14-7, 9-4 CCC) had their best hitting percentage in over two years, collecting 45 kills with just 12 attack errors for a .398 attack. They also held their opponent to a negative hitting percentage for the first time this season with the Knights (1-14, 1-12) earning 21 kills and 22 errors.

Jason Corwin said, "We had a good all-around performance tonight. The girls put together a game plan and executed it nicely. It is exciting to see this team take charge and be successful. Â

The offensive efficiency was dictated by the play of Beacon setters
Elijah Sanders and
Katie Belitz, who combined for 41 assists. Sanders added two service aces. "I think we did a really good job keeping our standard of play tonight," said Sanders. "We kept our energy high, played as a team and closed out the match strong."

Bushnell dominated on the left and the right on Friday.
Amyah Semau led the way, hitting .591 with 15 kills, which was followed up by nine kills and a .571 attack courtesy of
Matty Ladd. Semau said, "We played with and for each other tonight, and I am super proud of this team.

"We did a great job tonight playing like us," said Ladd. "We came out a little slow, but we were able to adjust and do what we needed to do."

Makenna Mosher also had a good night for the Beacons, adding five kills along with a match-high four blocks while
Bella Parque led all players with 11 digs. Bushnell had seven aces on the night with two more coming from
Ashlyn Tai.

The Knights were able to get some consistent offense from Elizabeth Reid who hit .267 with eight kills. Edita Ljuca added four kills while Amor Rapoza secured 17 assists.

The Beacons stay home on Saturday and will take on Multnomah (1-16, 1-12) at 4:00 pm.
