RESULTS
SEATTLE, Wash. – The Indoor Track & Field season rolled along on Friday as the Beacons opened up competition in the University of Washington Invitational.

On the men's side, it was freshman
Jermaine Schexnayder (pictured, left) leading the way as he made his collegiate jumping debut a good one. Starting in the triple jump, he set the second-longest leap in school history, landing at 13.41 meters (44'0") to take ninth place. Schexnayder closed out the night with the high jump and set a new school record, clearing the bar at 1.90m (6'2.75") and claiming seventh-place.

The women's competition was highlighted by the 200m race which featured four personal records. Freshman
Macayla Parrish (pictured, right) ran a 27.33, the seventh-fastest time in school history while junior Madeline Desemone (27.43), senior
Adrienne Mai (27.46) and senior
Mayah Pappas (27.71) all topped their personal bests.

Also competing on the men's side,
Lucas Hicks (23.97) and
Hunter Reininger (23.98) finished in the top-30 of the 200m with Jah'lin Green close behind in 31st (24.12).

Ty Kishen was also in the triple jump, hitting a personal record at 12.71 meters (41'8.75") for the fourth-best leap in school history.

Kyle Will said, "It was a great day and a good start to the meet with just a few events. We are excited to be at a very difficult meet with some high-level competition. Jermaine had some marks that would be CCC outdoor qualifiers so it was a great start for the young man."

Bushnell will close out the UW Invitational on Saturday.
