Bushnell is coming off a weekend split, falling to The Evergreen State College, 64-57, before defeating Northwest University, 60-44. The Beacons have split every weekend in conference action, winning the Saturday game on all three occasions. Eastern Oregon University and the College of Idaho come to the Morse Center this weekend.    Â

CONFERENCE OUTLOOK: Just one team remains undefeated in conference play, Oregon Tech, who holds a 13-0 overall record and 7-0 mark in conference action. The Owls are followed by LC State, who is 7-1 in conference action. Â

Three CCC teams are on the latest NAIA Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll, led by LC State at No. 7. Southern Oregon sits at No. 20 while Oregon Tech is receiving votes.

The Beacons are currently ranked ninth in the CCC in scoring, averaging 59.9 points per game. On defense, Bushnell is third, allowing 57.5 ppg, while holding opponents to a second-best 35.2% from the floor. The team is third in field goal percentage (.411), and eighth in three-point shooting, hitting .262 from deep. The Beacons rank ninth in the CCC in rebounds per game (35.4).

Aspen Slifka moved to second in the CCC in scoring (17.7 ppg). Slifka claimed another significant milestone on Friday, surpassing 1,500 career points.
Libby Mathis is tied for sixth in scoring (15.1 ppg) and leads the conference in field-goal percentage, shooting 56.0% on the year. Mathis is also first in rebounding, averaging 10.5 boards per game.
Aly Mirabile is tied for first in assists, averaging 4.2 per contest.

EASTERN OREGON: The Mountaineers are 8-4 overall on the season and 4-4 in conference action, falling to Lewis-Clark State on Friday before defeating Walla Walla on Saturday. Â Â

EOU is currently fourth in the CCC in scoring (66.5 ppg) and sixth defensively, allowing 61.4 points per game. The Mounties are shooting 39.8% from the floor (4
th) on the year, including a .307 (4
th) mark from three-point range. They are second in rebounding, averaging 42.3 per contest.

Bayley Brennan leads the team in scoring, averaging 13.8 points per game, 12
th in the CCC, and is shooting 34.6% from three-point range (8
th). Brie Holecek is 13
th in scoring, averaging 13.7 points per contest, while Beverly Slater is averaging a double-double with 11.2 points and a second-best 10.3 rebounds per game.

th) per contest. Slater and Robinett are the top-2 offensive rebounders in the CCC, followed by Bushnell's Mathis in third.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO: The Yotes are 3-11 overall and 3-5 in CCC action, earning their first win of the season against Eastern Oregon on December 9. C of I is coming off a weekend split, defeating Walla Walla on Friday and falling to LC State on Saturday.

th, giving up 72.4 points per game. The Yotes are allowing opponents to shoot 45.6% from the floor and 36.4% from beyond the arc, both 12

Mia Austin is averaging 13.0 points per game to lead the Yotes, ranking her 14
th in the CCC. Austin is shooting 32.7% from three, 13
th in the CCC. Brooke Beresford is the leading rebounder for C of I, averaging 5.5 boards per contest.

Coming off a pair of wins in their first CCC home games of the season, the Beacons (8-5, 5-2 CCC) look to keep the good times rolling as they welcome Eastern Oregon and the College of Idaho into the Morse Center for conference action.

CONFERENCE OUTLOOK: A stark divide has developed in the CCC with the top six teams all separated by just a game and a half, while the bottom six are all at least two games under .500. Currently, The College of Idaho and Lewis-Clark State are tied for the conference lead at 7-1, followed by Oregon Tech, Corban, and Southern Oregon who are all 6-1.

Two Cascade Conference teams are included in the latest NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches Poll. The College of Idaho is fifth, followed by Oregon Tech at No. 24.

The Beacons, currently alone in sixth-place in the CCC, remain the top scoring team in the CCC, averaging 88.5 points per game. The next closest foe is Oregon Tech, averaging 84.5 ppg. The Beacons are ninth defensively, allowing 81.7 ppg. Â The team is No. 1 for three-point shooting (.388) and No. 2 for overall field goal shooting (.481) and free-throw shooting (.744). The Beacons are also second in the conference in assists (17.4/g) and on top for assist-to-turnover ratio (1.6).

Stevie Schlabach ranks seventh in the conference in scoring (14.9 ppg).
Spencer Hoffman is second in conference with 8.8 rebounds per game and fifth for field goal percentage (.556).

EASTERN OREGON: The Mounties (4-10, 3-5) recently knocked off Walla Walla University, breaking a three-game losing streak. EOU has struggled with their CCC wins coming against teams that are a combined 4-22 in the conference.

Eastern is currently ninth in the CCC in scoring (74 ppg) and sixth in defense (76.1 ppg allowed). They are third in three-point shooting, averaging 36.7% from deep. Individually, Garrett Hawkes ranks fourth in the conference in scoring, averaging 16 points per game. Jonny Hillman is at the top of the conference standings for steals, averaging 2.5 per game with 27 total on the season.

After sweeping the season series last year, the Mounties are 21-12 all-time against Bushnell. They have also won two straight on Dave Lipp Court.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO: The Reigning NAIA National Champion Yotes (12-2, 7-1) have already doubled their loss total from the entire 2022-2023 season, but they are still the most dominant team in the CCC. They have won seven straight since their CCC loss at Southern Oregon, and have outscored their opponents by an average of nearly 21 points per game.

Something has to give on Saturday night when the best defensive team in the CCC visits the best offensive team. The Yotes are allowing just 65.1 points per game this season, and keeping their opponents to just 40.2% shooting, both tops in the conference. Offensively they rank fifth (79.5 ppg).

Always a well-rounded offensive unit, Samaje Morgan leads the team in scoring and is tenth in the CCC with 14.4 points per game. Six players are averaging at least 7.4 points per game.

The Yotes hold a 24-8 lead in the all-time series and have won eight straight. The last win for the Beacons came on December 16, 2018 over a then-No.1-ranked team. Last season C of I swept the home-and-home series by an average of 19.5 points and also defeated the Beacons in the opening round of the CCC tournament, 87-70.
