EUGENE, Ore. – The Bushnell volleyball team continued a perfect opening weekend of Cascade Collegiate Conference action on Saturday evening, taking care of Warner Pacific University in straight sets, 25-7, 25-22, 25-21.

The Beacons (4-2, 2-0 CCC) jumped out to an 18-1 lead in the first set and finished the frame hitting .435 without an error. Using the evening as an opportunity to work some new player combinations, the team struggled to replicate their first-set dominance over the couse of the match but was still able to collect the sweep.

Jason Corwin said, "We finished the weekend off strong, played a pretty clean match overall, and hit all of our point-scoring standards. There are some things we will need to work on to be ready for a big week ahead. I trust this group to put in the effort and have the right mindset as we progress through this tough conference."

Bushnell finished the evening hitting .333 with nine service aces and a 7-1 advantage in blocks.
Peyton Ritchie led the team with 22 assists and had three service aces, while
Bella Parque had another incredible night in the back row with 20 digs and four aces.

The offense was led by
Leah Agost, hitting .455 with 12 kills while
Amyah Semau was close behind with ten kills. Brooklyn Dechent led the team with five blocks while
Halle Neumann added four blocks and six kills.

The Knights (0-9, 0-2) ended the evening hitting .127 but suffering 19 unforced errors. Autumn Gaboury-Parker provided a bright spot with 12 kills, hitting .435 and Kyla Reiling contributed 20 assists. Hana Menasco led the team with nine digs.

Bushnell will hit the road for Salem on Wednesday night for a mid-week clash against No. 5 Corban University at 7:00 pm.
