LEWISTON, Idaho – The Bushnell men's basketball team fell on the road on Friday night to Lewis-Clark State College, 82-69 as the Warriors shot 60% in the second half to keep the Beacons at bay.

With the loss, the Beacons (10-13, 8-9 CCC) slip back into a precarious tie for the seventh and eighth spots in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with Oregon Tech as both teams hold a one-game lead over Multnomah for what would be the final two playoff spots. Â

The Beacons were led by
Spencer Hoffman who shot 8-for-10 from the field for 19 points, adding nine rebounds. The junior had just two points in the first half as he was dinged for a pair of fouls and was forced to ride the bench for the majority of the opening session.
Stevie Schlabach also had two early fouls and finished his night with 11 points.
Kaden Sand chipped in 11 points as well.

The Beacons shot 39% from the field and were out-rebounded 44-31. They held a 21-20 margin in points off the bench, led by nine from
Isaac Girley and seven courtesy of
Colton Martin.

LC State (12-11, 9-8) was led by a game-high 21 points from John Lustig while Silas Bennion scored a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Bushnell returns to action on Saturday night, facing off against Walla Walla (1-20, 1-16) at 9:00 pm.
