EUGENE, Ore. – The Bushnell men's basketball team hit 15 three-pointers, shooting 57% from deep as they rolled past Linfield University on Friday night in their home opener, 105-54.

The Beacons (1-2) were efficient up and down the board from start to finish, hitting 59% from the field and 90% from the free-throw line while holding the Wildcats (0-1) to 32% shooting including a 5-for-24 clip from three-point range.

Head Coach Eddie Alexander said, "It was a great game all around for everyone defensively, which is what our entire focus was this week. We needed to get back to what we are trying to do as a team and tonight it was truly a team effort on both ends of the court."

Leading the way was senior Stevie Schlabach (pictured) who scored a season-high 22 points, hitting 4-for-5 from three-point land. Trevon Richmond added 18 points while Tony Frohlich-Fair and Luke Smith each had 11 off the bench. Kaden Sand added ten.

Spencer Hoffman was held in check on offense with seven points, but led the Beacons with eight boards as Bushnell out-rebounded Linfield, 45-29. Alexis Angeles has a big night distributing the ball, collecting a season-high nine assists.

Linfield (0-1) was led off the bench by Cade Collins, scoring 15 points. Joshua Ryan added nine while Jackson Dupree led all players with nine rebounds.
