EUGENE, Ore. – The Bushnell men's basketball team took the floor for the first time on Saturday evening, playing host to the Seattle Mountaineers in an exhibition contest. Seattle took home a 100-81 victory.

The Beacons shot 45% from the field in the contest while the Mountaineers (3-2) hit on half of their shots, building an eight-point half-time lead to as many as 25 over the final 20 minutes.

Kaden Sand gave a strong indication of what his final collegiate season could look like, leading the Beacons with 26 points, four assists, and four blocked shots.
Alexis Angeles added 16 points while
Spencer Hoffman shot 5-for-6 from the field and scored ten.
Tony Frohlich-Fair posted a team-high seven rebounds.

Seattle was led by Kobe Powell, scoring a game-high 39 points as he shot 17-for-28. Trevion Brown and Davon Bolton added 17 points each with Bolton hitting five three-pointers. Kelvon Fuller dominated in the paint with a double-double, scoring 12 points with 18 rebounds.

The Beacons will play their first official game next Friday as they travel to Klamath Falls for the Cascade-Crossroads Classic. They begin with a battle against the No. 2-ranked Grace College on Friday at 5:30 pm.
