ANGWIN, Calif. – Bushnell dropped a mid-week road contest at Pacific Union College, giving up a pair of goals in each half for a 4-1 loss on Wednesday afternoon.

All four goals for the Pioneers were scored by sophomore Olivia Jessee. Jessee knocked in her first in the 17
th minute before scoring on a free kick less than three minutes later. The Beacons did not record a shot in the first half.

Blake Danna found the back of the net in the 65
th minute to record Bushnell's first goal of the season. Danna got the sequence started by finding
Dejah Wallot outside the right side of the box. Wallot sent a long cross to the head of
Emily Puita, whose shot was saved by a Pioneer defender. Danna knocked in the deflection to bring the score to 2-1.

The Pioneers scored five minutes later on a penalty kick before putting the game away with Jessee's fourth goal in the 83
rd minute.

The Beacons (0-2) were out-shot 15-3 in the contest and 9-3 in shots-on-goal.
Madison Bender recorded five saves on the match for Bushnell. Ava McInvale played all 90 minutes in goal for Pacific Union (1-0), finishing with one save.

Bushnell will be back in action on Sunday, hosting Willamette University in an exhibition game at 5 p.m. at Civic Park. Fans are encouraged to bring canned food to the game to support FOOD for Lane County.
